I watched a programme last week, all about the life and teachings of mohammed, his persecution in the early years and his rise to prophet and founder of a new religion. Its clear to me that his teachings have been rewritten and twisted over the years, especially his thoughts on jihad. All killing was abhorrant to him, except in the case of self defence. Now suicide bombers kill innocents.
