why do we wear black clothing when somebody dies?

Christians wears black dress whereas Hindu's wears white dress.maybe it a sign of peace n sadness.

its because black represent the dark, the unknown, a place of mystery, where there is uncertainty, its not a friendly color, when someone die, people feel the loss...a dark situation, dress how you feel...you feel sad.
