The UK is today a place where the economy is trying to get U into debts and keep U there, coz that's good for the rich. The levels in academic education are falling, falling, falling, and many folks who are in 'higher' education are in fact not educated enough to avoid the traps. That particular niche of prostitution is only a small aspect of a much bigger problem.

1. She probably couldn't find a part time job. The level of poverty suggests that jobs aren't easy to come by.
2. She probably feels that an education will make her already slim chances of getting a job a bit higher.
3. Other prostitutes sell themselves in order to feed their kids and themselves, their chances of getting out of it is zero, so while I don't agree with her methods I do realize that ' a girl has to do what a girl has to do ' , unless any of you are willing to pay for her education or do something about the world economy, poverty and lack of employment? No....? Rather sit there behind your screen with an opinion yeah? Pffft.

Simply put, moral outrage. Take that away and they would have to direct their energies at addressing the more trivial problems of abuse or rape, exploitation, equality, extreme poverty or war ... it would be sheer chaos, no? Clearly not the sort of world you want to live in.
