Will sites like 2wap survive?

First of all Apologies if there is any error in the grammar of post title, feel free to correct me. Now coming to the topic, What are your views on it and how, why sites like 2wap can or cannot survive?

I think the biggest attractive feature of these sites is their animated smileys which are common but yet not adopted by bigger social networks. We can call it their USP and these smileys can make our conversations memorable. I still remember many chats on this site with those smileys, I don't know why they become outdated but in my views these smileys can changed the way we chat if used on personal messengers like Whatsapp and FB

These sites die because social media has taken over, instant gratification when some one likes ur pic of what u had for breakfast
