what is defination of love

What I believe about is, real love is unconditional. I saw a documentary about a man who got married when he was very young. Shortly after his new wife became ill and was bedridden and unable to move for the rest of her life. He is now in his seventies and still spending his days looking after her. Many years ago he had friends who told him he should just put her in a home and leave her there. About those he only said 'Well, I haven't got those friends anymore'. Once he had married her he was committed - when she became incurably sick he gave up all his plans for his life, there wasn't an alternative for him. To me, that's how love really defines itself.
