friday morning, 4am, my neighbour and friend got tied to a chair while 4 men went through his house. They broke into his house while he was in his lounge. Sorry wont suffice.

Saying sorry is acceptance of mistake with regret for it. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. It all breaks down to intensity of mistake of course. One is sorry for making a mistake, he can't do that for purposeful crime.
