Many of us who have been single for a long time just accepted singleness, and moved on. If happen, it happens. Another reason for being independent was to survive life. But once were in a relationship, you need to let go of some behaviors that could prove challenging when you need to operate as one. Will you be able to change and let go for the sake of LOVE...? smiley

Well, being single after being married, or in a relationship is surely challenging, yes. To adjust from previous expectancies, habits sharing, responsibilities, is not easy. Some can never adjust, and then latch onto the first available person crossing their paths. Most of the time with disastrous results!

Then I would say the question of whether or not to change would also depend on many things, no? There are ways to remain individual within a relationship, in fact I would go as far as to say that ideally (although not many things work out ideally) the purpose of a relationship is to enhance both and not diminish either in any way. Thus if it is a minor aspect, it can be sacrificed for the good of the relationship, whether one or both party/s chooses to or not remains a choice for the individual. A major aspect is harder to give up and is not necessarily the right choice. This is true for both parties but is most especially pertinent to women as it is taken for granted that we are obligated to.
