I like your ideas Omaazigi, and think they are viable. It does sound like a lot of notifications would be generated with some of these suggestions so those could be optional, having said that there is already the option to turn off the inbox alert for Smarty's messages allowing you to only see the notifications dialog when you actually enter the inbox.
