This is a competition for nature and photography lovers. Take a photo of anything worthwhile in nature and upload it here. Prizes 1st place : 4000 pluses and your photo will be available as a theme. 2nd place : 2000 pluses The closing date will be 1 January 2015. Note: I will make sure all photos are authentic.

only one unfortunately. I did consider as many as the user wants, especially in your case ( you love taking photos) but decided on only one.

Let's hope this works. This is a picture I took a couple of years ago, during a road trip around Sri Lanka, of a Mother elephant and her calf who's probably about 2-4 years old. The female elephants are extremely protective of their young. The older sisters and aunts all gather around the calves when there are intruders around. Although the original picture is in colour, I prefer black and white pictures of elephants, for some reason.
