It used to be a common thing for guys and even some ladies to carry a pen knife on their person or at the very least a fruit knife for the cutting and eating of apples n pears etc. Kids carried rusty pocket knives with attachments for everything up to and including getting boy scouts out of horses hooves. What happened to that? Do you still carry a knife? A multi tool, swiss army knife, or any other 'tactical items' ? A kind of Mc Gyver knife.smiley

I have a "knip mes" (whats that in english?). Its super sharp. I can never close it, i'm afraid of loosing fingers. I can probably knive someone to death with it, but i keep it for biltong. Nom-nom-nom.

Yeah! I,m NEVER without my pocket knive... Allways handy to slice my biltong, clean my nails, peel and cut some or other fruit or veggie, remove splinters out of my fingers, turn a screw, open a can, remove a bottle top,cut the peel of a prickly pear, skin a wabbit for a braai, etc. Oh, and of course, to cut the candle much shorter when my daughter's boyfriend visits her. And to dig out the wax from her ears when she does'nt hear what i say to her
