Gorakhpur railway station enters Limca Book of Records for world’s longest platform. The length of platform is 1,355.40 metres. The new platform was inaugurated on Oct 06, last year. Earlier, the platform of Kharagpur railway station in West Bengal having 1,072.5 m length had the distinction of being world’s longest platform.
