Chibbad is one of the most loved fruits for Konkanis. The best ones are those whose skin comes off by itself and the flesh becomes like rava. If added to some dish, they just dissolve. This variety is very sweet and melt in mouth. I guess its the same you uploaded. Have u eaten it?? Then only i can be sure

sorry guys i don't think any of your guesses so far prove to be correct. @eternalknight the fruit has a bit sour sensation when you bite thru it and has alot of fine seeds it. Fruit is yellow in colour from within

Gooseberry -(Ribes uva-crispa) . SAXIFRAGACEAE . The bushes are about a metre high with a spread almost as much . It prefers a fairly heavy, well drained soil . They need about 40 per cent shade .

gooseberry The fruit is a smooth berry, resembling a miniature spherical yellow tomato. Removed from its bladder-like calyx, it is about the size of a marble, about 12 cm in diameter. Like a tomato, it contains numerous small seeds. It is bright yellow to orange in color, and it is sweet when ripe, with a characteristic, mildly tart flavor, making it ideal for snacks, pies or jams.
