I tried to rename a file in my nokia 3110c with bluetooth ftp and mob explorer but the response received was file may only be read. What can I do?

I dont think that file can be renamed, because it's locked..

while it in readable format then u can't rename it the owner of the file sholu give read and write permission to rename it i think so

If it is in _jar,use direct renaming in ur phone to change it to .jar but u must first remove the .EXT in front of the _jar wit blue ftp

The file is in .EXT so I tried to rename it to .jar but the response was unable to rename file.

If it is part of the phones operating software you can't alter it,, if it 1 file you've put in there you need some file manager allowing you to change that files attributes from read only then try rename it
