When Lucifer betrayed god! After his belief that humans existence on earth is disgraceful (He belived humans would spoil earth). To avoid destructions of humanity the other arch angels quarantined Lucifer in hell. He was prisoned in a cage with 666 attachments! out of which 66 attachments opened would release him. Hence 666 is refered to Lucifer or satan.

Several numbers have a meaning in the Bible others not. * 6 is the number of man * 7 is the number of God, it means perfection. * 12 is the number of order / goverment: 12 tribes of Israel, 12 apostles governing the church * 40 is the number of trial, test: Jesus fasted 40 days before the temptation by the devil, Israel were punishmentto wander 40 years at the desert before reaching the Promise Land. * 666 is the number identifying the antichrist, using three times the number of man. However, I do not see a special meaning for 999. I think its the number of emergency service in UK. LOl

Some interpretations says that number 666 represent a man, means that it is the number of imperfect man who was created by God and that tends to perfection, or sinlessness. The reverse of this is that man does wrong, means that 999 represent evil man who works the opposite of what he has been created smiley

Well, i never said i am completely right. Its just according to biblical numerology.. And according to bible 7 and 3 are the numbers of completeness and trinity thus 3, 7's the number of God.. smiley

how is that 7 and 3 and what about 999 ,see 9*9*9= 729 and 7+2+9 =81 and 8+1=9 ,, any number (except zero) multiply by 9 ,if the digits r added it comes 9 smiley
