According to wikipedia the Bluetooth technology was invited by ericsson, a part of Sony ericsson, in 1994.

Just like symbian belongs to Nokia, Androids belongs to google and iappp belongs to Apple. The largest available Sun microsystemsJava platform actually is an OE made especially for SE. You can also see that on java's official site - Java+SE.
Most probably thats why all the java apps runs very smoothly on a SE whereas they're too slow and sometimes doesn't even work on Nokia and other devices.
