Are Animals Experiments Needed?

Millions of Animals are used each year for research and for dissections. Animals are mistreated and many die, sometimes the research itself is fatal and animals die. Should animals be used in laboratory experiments? Should experiments be done if they cause the animals to suffer?

Oh. Its kinda bad and so sad to do such a thing on an animal. Remember the animal has feelings and a life also

I love animals and am against animal testing but if researchers don't use animals to test the products then what else will they use? Human beings?

No. I'm so against this. Sometimes I don't understand y human can b called creature with highest intelligence if their existence is to hurt other creatures. It makes me sick

bloody_oddity: that would be humans! Seeing that only animals and humans have blood.

animals are n0t en0ugh like humans to give useful results.

bloody_oddity: Well yes. Its saves humans everyday. Cures to diseases and vaccines that prevents diseases were tested on animals before we can use it. They dont always suffer and they normally are treated with care.

In certain research fields (e.g. regarding cancer or HIV research) some animal testing sadly can't be avoided. Also, I suppose we wouldn't even have pain killers for dental root infections if animal testing had never been conducted. It would be great if all that research could now simply be computer simulated, but as far as I know, it cannot. But there may also be a lot of unnecessary tests - where we simply don't need the products, or their further refinement.

Animals are God's creations like us and must be taken care of.However,newly developd products such as medicines should be testd and proven effective b4 it is used 4 public consumption and welfare,as well.Hence,we cant keep away with testing or experimentng on animals unless we will not test the products at all.

If the animal is used to test cosmetics then id say yes its a sin. If its for medicine mankind need, ill say its ok. smiley

or would you volunteer to be used as a guine-pig?

what a pity f0r animals to be used as experementati0ns just f0r c0smetics reas0ns. why n0t l0ok f0r any alternatives. of c0urse human is n0t the answer.
