i hope chess lovers who knows atleast movement nd captures of pieces,this article may be fruitful. pls read my Forum post-Evolution of CHESS too. place a blank board in front of u. observe a Knight on rim controls less squares than dat knight which is in d centre or near d centre !!

so every piece is more effective in d centre or around d centr..cetre means e4,d4,e5,d5 squares. hence move a pawn or two in d centr to keep opponents pieces away nd same tym open lines for Bishops..etc. once pwan moves in d centr our king is not comfortably placed save hence castle it nd thus it improves Rook too.....
