Dear muslims, Compulsorily reply by FasistGrowinReligion 2015/02/04 11:46
What are the features of 72 virgins that you know about? Let me tell you you have to know every feature of virgins cuz it's written in our holy quran. Not knowing means committing a sin. So quickly read it and explain in your words.

In Islam, the concept of 72 virgins
(houri) refers to an aspect of Jannah ( Paradise). This concept is grounded in Qur'anic text which describe a sensual Paradise where believing men are rewarded by being wed to virgins with "full grown",
"swelling" or "pears-shaped"
breasts. Conversly, women
will be provided with only one
man, and they "will be satisfied
with him".

Because we are smarter, can you imagine having to deal with 72 men? Heaven is meant to be a reward Chica, not a punishment.

For the sake of curiosity, where exactly in the Holy Qur'an does it say 72 virgins? It would seem to me an idea more popular outside of Islam than within it.

I doubt you're obligated to deal with 72 men at once... Rotation. So there is no reason that women should be satisfied with one and men with 72. ''you will be satisfied'' sounds like a command anyway, not so much a fact. On earth she is allowed only one husband, and he is allowed how many wives? Even paradise is sexist.

I'm actually curious about the slaves, are they heavenly creatures or people? The topic creator should give scripture when he says something like this, more so because a reply is compulsory....

Heavenly creatures one would assume. Like you I would be interested in the exact scripture.

PS: Be it the afterlife or this one, I am more than satisfied with just one Xi /smiley

or maybe they are jews.... Wouldnt that be something? bright spark vanished it would seem....

That is not the point... What you are satisfied with... The point is that it is sexist. and that if it was fair, paradise would be fair. No?

"And who believe in that which has been revealed to you and that which was revealed before you and they are sure of the hereafter. These are on a right course from their Lord and these it is that shall be successful." - Qur'an 2:4-5.

In short Jews, Muslims and Christians enter heaven on merit, that they are Jews or Christians or Muslims is not a factor and so I doubt they would be slaves.

"Brightspark" it would seem enjoys stirring the pot but no doubt has something important keeping him from remaining to be questioned or challenged. Most convenient, no?

I would expect Paradise to be fair, yes ...

Insult? No, it is teasing at worst. The main point was to compliment women, teasing men was a merely bonus /smiley

I'm sorry but it also says find them and kill them... The renegades though. which will be a lot, because submitting to another religion isn't permitted. So based on merit not a lot of Jews and even less Christians will enjoy paradise... So assuming they will enter it as slaves isn't that wrong.... For every verse thats pro jew/christian there is one that is not. Perhaps I'm wrong.

If you read from first verse of that particular Surah you will see that this is a reference to the Mushriks of Makkah. After 13 years of persecution the first Muslims left Makkah for Medina, the Mushriks followed them there and made war on them for 9 years. The verse you mentioned was then revealed. It cannot ever be used in reference to Jews and Christians as they are not considered Mushriks. Further the title of Chapter nine is Al-Taubah meaning repentance or forgiveness and this is indeed the main subject matter of the chapter.

Submission to Islam is not required of Christians and Jews, only that they be righteous and upright. It would not make sense otherwise as Muslims believe they worship the God of Abraham, the same God that is worshiped by both the Jews and Christians.

As always your opinion is your own, I merely wished to provide an alternate view.

I haven't read that.... Do muslims believe that Abraham is a hebrew and the father of Israel? If not, its not the same God. Also paradise is not at all the same... All things of the flesh will die, like desire and lust. The same God would mean the same afterlife. I have decided to go buy the Quran, so I can get the bigger picture and not verses used out of context. It happens with the Bible too often also.

"I'll kill disbelievers." - Use this sentence out of context.

Contemporary mainstream Islamic scholars, for example; Gibril Haddad, have commented on the erotic nature of the Qur'anic Paradise, by saying some men may need ghusl (ablution required after sexual discharge) just for hearing certain verses.[5]

Orthodox Muslim theologians such as al-Ghazali (died 1111 CE) and al-Ash'ari (died 935 CE) have all discussed the sensual pleasures found in Paradise, relating hadith that describe Paradise as a slave market where there will be "no buy and sale, but... If any man will wish to have sexual intercourse with a woman, he will do at once."[6][7]

It is quoted by Ibn Kathir, in his Qur'anic Commentary, the Tafsir ibn Kathir,[8] and they are graphically described by Qur'anic commentator and polymath, al-Suyuti (died 1505), who, echoing a hasan hadith[9] from Ibn Majah,[10] wrote that the perpetual virgins will all "have appetizing vaginas", and that the "penis of the Elected never softens. The erection is eternal".[11]

The sensual pleasures between believers and houri in Paradise are also confirmed by the two Sahih collections of hadith, namely Sahih Bukhari[12] and Sahih Muslim, where we read that they will be virgins who are so beautiful, pure and transparent that "the marrow of the bones of their legs will be seen through the bones and the flesh",[13] and that "the believers will visit and enjoy them".[14]
