No Jesus, No World by Sweetsilver 2012/12/09 06:01
What would the world be like if Jesus christ never existed in the hearts and minds of so many people. There would be no Xmas, No easter, Governments will have no basis to make laws on . Plus there would be no America today , because USA is built on Christian values. Basically i think this world would be a very dark place.

im far from closed minded ur been very closed minded if u think this place wldnt b here if it wasnt for jesus or any other religion life will still go on without them just like it did before mainstream religions were around. jesus was born as of A.D there was life before that hence B.C (before Christ) so whos the 1 been closed minded

Actually I realised the is no Xmas and easter. Their origin isn't from the bible that's why jesus' apostles never celebrated them. It's a later invention by man.

Agree with you...

According to the bible Earth should be 2000 years old now but actually Earth exist for millions of years... if not billions... so how could it be that God or Jesus created Earth?

Rango 2017/04/23 21:30
The Bible does not tell us how old the earth is. If we examine the history of mankind, humans have lived for more than 6000 years on earth. Looking at the history of Adam and his sons in Genesis chapter five, we can't really say the earth is only 2000 years. Adam lived for 930 years and his sons, 912, 905 and so on.
Digging deep onto the scriptures, we find that even the creation itself did not happen within 6 literal days of mere 24hrs. So we do not know the period which was between creation of the earth and creation of man.
Take an instance, the sun and the stars provide light to the earth. And yet, light from the sun takes about 20000 years to reach the earth and that from the closest star takes about 4000 years. This light could not reach the earth within a mere creation day of 24hours.

TRUE, THE EARTH IS BILLIONS OF YEARS OLD BUT THE 2000 YEARS START WITH JESUS/ISA

The Earth ranges from around 147 000 000 km to 152 000 000 km distance from the sun throughout its orbit, average that to 150 000 000 km. Divide this by the speed of light 300 000 km/s and you get 500 seconds. Light from the sun (once emitted) takes, on average, 8 minutes 20 seconds to reach earth.

Rango 2017/04/24 21:27
The particles reaching the earth in 8 minutes have already been emitted from the core of the sun. They are coming simply just from the surface. I am talking about the time when the sun was created and now we wait for the particles to move from the core and then to the surface of the sun which will later come to earth.

I quoted some text from wikipedia.

"Sunlight takes about 8.3 minutes to reach Earth from the surface of the Sun. A photon starting at the center of the Sun and changing direction every time it encounters a charged particle would take between 10,000 and 170,000 years to get tothe surface.[3]"

It could mean a significant difference in the religious and social paradigms we have today.
