In religion, people simply defend religion, nothing else. Religion is the systematically cultivated psychosis of the masses. People will sooner or later end up in a mental asylum or gunned down because they totally lose sense of reality, defending what they think is a 'prophet'. Most of folks who are deeply immersed in their brainwashed religion nonsense throw tantrums like 3 year olds being told the easter bunny doesn't exist when U tell them something which sets off their psychosis.

Religion is a set of values and limit in which a man lives and becomes civilized but stays in a limit.in one way or the other every man is trying to find the same god but just in a different ways.religion is never the root cause but its the will of the man does it,the will that speak in the mind of a man when he is about to commit a sin which the devil's inside of his mind reason out makes him not believe in stuff he want to. Chezbee, I've met many people who have high moral standards which saves them from committing what U would call 'sin' and who are great examples to others through their attitudes and deeds, and yet they have no religion whatsoever and don't need one. So many of those who have helped me in life even when I needed food and somewhere to sleep didn't believe in any God, devil, sin or anything else. Many of those I know who believe that they are in this world to persue the good while not engaging in the bad don't have those religious ideas on their mind. Those who 'need' a religion can still be the worst people, religion means absolutely nothing in real terms!

mouse,I know it is possible for man to live with moral values without the help of religion just guide by thier own conscience like to do good to fellow human biengs and other natures but religion motivates aswell to do good for it promises for whosoever will do good will be rewarded in the life hereafter.without religious belief these values seems likely to lose thier meaning.another interesting to note is that relegion isnt there to serve as mere guidelines for men to live with common moral principles it aswell gives a man the power to endure the life's adversities for a man with strong belief wont find himself in desperation for when all else fails he knows he is under the care of the powerful being. in this situation the religion teaches a man to have patience and strong.

I don't need the religion for that. I don't need to believe in an 'afterlife' for that. U see suffering U think 'how can I relieve the suffering?' and U do it, it's simple, has nothing to do with anything else. Without religion, one doesn't ask for a meaning, afterlife. Those things are theories which don't count. What I see happening now counts. A good life right now counts. I'm responsible for it, don't need to look for a higher being which is responsible. Even if I believe with the death of this body I'm finished I don't lose that belief, it still counts what I do right now. If I go through joy or suffering it doesn't make a difference. All religions eventually become mythology, they are inessential to what U are.
