Holy wars, a stare in history by dad_ash 2011/08/20 02:46
Throughout history religion has been used as an excuse, or driving force, for some of the worst atrocities imaginable. From pre-history to modern history, religion is, for many people, just an excuse to kill other people. I am posting here about the holywars, this list highlights eight of the worst atrocities (but not necessarily the top

Quote: Lemon: And I can name many more atrocities that where commited in the name of no religion or cause. Senseless killing is just that, senseless. Wars have also been fought"in the name"of countries, for food, for land, for all manner of things so what now? Do we destroy any country whose people have fought wars, burn all the food"because it causes war", why stop there let's nuke all the land that's been fought over while we're at it. No? Then wake up people, people have been killing each other off for thousands of years for thousands of reasons, not that we need reasons. People seem to use the slightest of reasons to go at each other but the point is to blame religion is to intentionally view things narrowly to suite your own purpose.
Very nice post. . . . Dear my statement should have tobe taken as a token statement . It,s common sence and i know religions aren't behind everything but most of the problems have been caused by religions. And thats what i have been wanting highlight. . . Thank you for taking notice my topic, i hope you will continue posting your valueable posts -up-
