A German's View on Islam by Spoon 2011/04/18 11:44
This is by far the best explanation of the Muslim terrorist situation I have ever read. His references to past history are accurate and clear. Not long, easy to understand, and well worth the read. The author of this email is said to be Dr.... Emanuel Tanya, a well-known and well-respected psychiatrist.

Quote: -DeMoN_OvErLoRd-:

Extremism is any ideology or political act far outside the perceived political center of a society; or otherwise claimed to violate common moral standards.[citation needed] In democratic societies, individuals or groups that advocate the replacement of democracy with a authoritarian regime are usually branded extremists, in authoritarian societies the opposite applies.
The term is invariably, or almost invariably, used pejoratively. Extremism is usually contrasted with moderation, and extremists with moderates. (For example, in contemporary discussions in Western countries of Islam, or of Islamic political movements, it is common for there to be a heavy stress on the distinction between extremist and moderate Muslims. It is also not uncommon to necessarily define distinctions regarding extremist Christians as opposed to moderate Christians, as in countries such as the United States).
Political agendas perceived as extremist often include those from the far left or far right as well as fundamentalism or, as a more general term, fanaticism.

wikipedia is back? Lol.
Fundamentalism?
The person who is extremely good at fundamentals?
Isnt it a good thing?
What's wrong if a person is extremely good at Islamic fundamentals?

Yes, there are extremist Christians, e.g. the creationists, there are even such unbelievable examples as 'extremist Buddhists' - I know of a case where a small Buddhist community left a flea infested cat to die because those people's extreme interpretation of their religion didn't allow them to take action in form of killing the fleas. - U are, I'd say, wrong in that last point - of course, there can also be an extremist atheist. Do U confuse 'atheism' with 'agnosticism'?

Being friends with everyone is key to me. Dont hate or disrespect a man cos of his beliefs.

As for Kumz who thinks some of us are protecting tools, am not currently with tools, am i? If tools were a do or die affair for me, i wont in taken 3 breaks in my 6 months as mod. But i didnt take break so as to return to you people. I took break so i can rest. But man also cant continue saying the same thing with the same people. A year ago, samething. 2 years ago samething. As if we're talkin to a block of wall. Man should be watchfull so it doesnt drive us to madness. We all must have that in mind. I seek new challenge, then i'l return much later.

Bye for now, goodluck to us all.

A survey recently conducted by the University of Muenster has found that Germans are considerably more negative in their views about Muslims and Jews than their European neighbors.

Germans view Islam as ‘intolerant'

The representative survey, which polled 1,000 people in each of the four countries mentioned, found that fewer than five percent of Germans thought Islam was a tolerant religion, compared to roughly 20 percent for the Danes, Dutch and French.

Women gathered at a mosque in CologneBildunterschrift: Großansicht des Bildes mit der Bildunterschrift: Germans are critical of women's rights in Islam

While 50 percent of Danes and two-thirds of the French and Dutch respondents approved of the building of mosques, fewer than 30 percent of Germans said they did.

In Denmark, France and the Netherlands, a clear majority of respondents viewed Muslims positively.

In Germany, however, only 34 percent of those surveyed in the west of the country and 26 percent in eastern Germany had a positive view of Muslims.

When asked what they associated with Islam, more than 80 percent said discrimination of women, 60 percent said fanaticism, and only eight percent of West Germans and five percent of East Germans said that Islam was peaceful.

Are U surprised? They see what's going on in the world, and it reminds them too much of what was going on in their country in the last century.
