Pollution of the environment is one of the most horrible ecological crisis to which we are subjected today. We know that 3 basic amenities for living organisms are air , land or soil & water. Sometimes in the past, these amenities were pure, undisturbed, uncontaminated and basically most hospitable for living organisms. But the situation is just the reverse today because progress in science and technology is also leading to pollution of environment & serious ecological imbalance which in the long run, may prove disastrous for mankind. "Environment pollution is the result of urban industrial technological revolution and speedy exploitation of every bit of natural resources". The craze of progress in agriculture, industry, transportation and technology is taken as the general criterion of devlopment of any nation. Such activities of man has created adverse effects on all living organisms in the biosphere.

A substance present in the enviorment in proportions greater than its natural abudance and thus,causing harmful effects is called a pollutant and this phenomenon is known aspollution.causes of air pollution-[1]excessive burning of fossil fuels like coal,kerosene,petrol or diesel.[2]smoke from factories and vehicles.[3]use of certain substance like chloroflurocarbons.these are the methods to control air pollutions-[1]use of unleaded petrol in vehicles[2]use of cng in automobiles[3]avoid burning of crackers,as they cause lol of nois and air pollution.[4]do not burn dry vegetable wastes,rather collect it in a pit and make compost.if we not care this important thing in our life this may lead to serious problems to us.so,be aware!!!!

Pollution is truly a great problem these days.Everyone must be aware about it and must impose self-discipline in order to minimize pollution.
