It was Kenneth Arnold,who gave flying saucers their name.he saw nine disc shaped make flying in a chain formation,on 24 june 1947.he told newspaperman that here objects flew like saucers that are sent skimming over water.the newspaper misquoted him,and the term 'flying saucer' was born......
