There is a dangerous group of ppl ,maybe even a team.of 1 persons who seems to be kidnapping specific topic.While no ransom demands have been posted, its very scary that this is happening on this busy site as memebers might be afraid to post topics because it will.dissapear and the ink used in creating said topics will.be wasted(waste of natural.resourses in these difficult days)
Many many many years ago , there was a rule that topics closed would have a reason and the mod who closed it would state it.
Since trump has become president, it seems that walls are being built here and the mexicans havent even arrived yet

There is a trend whereby fairly reasonable critical topics are being hijacked by Bonnie and Clyde wannabes and turned into platforms for personal attacks and insults against other people here... In some cases we can pick through the thread, editing out and deleting defamatory content. In others, the direction of that topic has gone too far down that road that it would be a waste of effort to curate it, especially if we've already let it remain for a week or more. Maybe we should be harder on those who take topics in that direction, but then that just gives ammunition to the malcontented...
