5 Strange Reasons Why you make Bad Decisions! by HandsomeDon 2015/10/26 15:49
A study found that people make better decisions when they are on an empty stomach, because they are more likely to rely on their intuition and gut instinct.

you're smartphone addict

Several studies have found that smart phones are very bad for your concentration, because the various services they provide, like messaging, emails, games, etc. all compete for your attention, and you are constantly flicking back and forth between them. This phenomenon is known as digital distraction, and it affects your decision making ability because half your focus is subconsciously on your phone

you Play video games

A lot of video games reward risky and reckless behaviour. Grand Theft Auto for example, requires you to weave in and out of traffic and knock people over. This reward system is flawed, because it encourages you to take risks and behave recklessly in real life as well.

youve financial problems

Financial problems cause a considerable amount of physical and mental stress. This stress not only affects your ability to make decisions, it also causes your IQ to drop by 13 points! Just so you know, lack of sleep has a similar effect on your intelligence.

its the wrong time of the day

A study found that judges give more favourable rulings in the beginning of the day, then as they get tired the rulings become more and more unfavourable. After they take a break and return feeling fresh, the rulings become favourable again. These same findings apply to people who aren't judges as well. We start making decisions from the time we wake up, so our decision making ability tends to fluctuate throughout the day.

So, how many of you friends feel your decision making is affected by
any of these in your Daily Lives?!

Some of these make sense to me. I prefer games that reward cautious rather than risky behaviour. And I think growing fatigued can lead to poor judgement as well.
