Ad-blocker software by NinthElement 2015/10/24 06:00
Does anyone use ad-blocker software on their desktop or smartphone browser? I looked into this recently after becoming tired of oversized or heavy adverts on some sites causing my browser to slow down badly. Adblock Plus is probably the best, and I can tell you it works like a dream. It's an add-on for desktop browsers like Chrome and Firefox and now there is an Adblock browser for phones too.

There is of course another side to this, that is that many sites can only afford to run with the income they receive from ads. Is it right to block them in this case, or should site owners find ways to adapt? Personally I find that if ads are unintrusive enough they don't bother me, it's just those that ruin my browsing experience that cause me to shut them all out. So perhaps regulation is the answer.

This browser came out last month I installed it then and there and its a patched rebuild of Firefox for Android, you can see it from the interface. Adblockers has always been around specially the add ons but I do also understand that if Adblocked is regulated then it will be trouble for publishers. Something the tech community needs to think about. I personally feel the reason why blockers will always be in existence is because Ads have become a headache for phone specially as they install apps, bloatware and what not.

Personally I prefer chrome on android and Firefox on pc, you can use Opera max a data saving software from opera.
Quote: Libra: im using mostly opera and UCWeb.. these adblockers are meant for chrome and Firefox.. I restrict background data and ads are gone, most of them I guess, I sometimes get ads on opera and UCWeb. rarely though. I'm new to Android, I'm afraid to root my phone.
