These are poems about
experiencing the great
outdoors. Whether one is
watching a thrilling
thunderstorm or looking up at a
mighty tree, the experience of nature is
one of awe. One cannot help but
marvel at the intricate design of a
single leaf, or the roar of a great
waterfall. Time spent in nature is time
spent realizing that you don't know it
all and that you never will. On the other
hand, when we ignore the beauty of
nature and spend our time in an urban
jungle our stress levels go up and we
begin to feel as if we are made out of
the concrete that we see all around us.

What is the true state of the
environment. You have the politicians
on the left telling you that there is
undeniable evidence of global
warming. Thousands of species
become extinct every day because we
are cutting down the rain forests. All
around the earth, environmentalists
are pointing out devastation. On the
other hand those on the right would
have us believe that the earth is
perfectly fine. They say that all of the
changes that the earth is going
through are perfectly OK and that we
have nothing to worry about. Who is
right?

Nature's Law
The waves are rolling toward the
shore.
A silent world - An empty core,
Lifeless land with nothing more.
The waves are crashing on the shore.
The fabled beast - A mighty roar,
Extinction men choose to ignore,
And the waves are breaking at the
shore.
A new beginning, our fathers - fore,
Human nature set to explore,
The waves are lapping at the shore.
Seven seas sailed, in the skies we soar,
Kingdom's conquered, blood they
pour,
Crimson waves rest on the shore.
A fractured earth, relations sore,
A greed that breaks our natural core,
And the waves are turning on the
shore.
Gluttonous rage,
We lust for more,
And the waves are monsters on the
shore.
The tides are turning,
The land is raw,
Time to face our nature's law.
And the waves are rolling toward the
shore,
And the waves are rolling toward the
shore,
And the waves are rolling toward the
shore... Forever more.

Rose In Full Bloom
Rambling down a cobbled
pathway,
I stumbled upon a wild rose,
Deep garnet red,
Velveteen petals each curled to
perfection,
Luminescent and innocently pretty,
A coy damsel oblivious of her
beauty,
Fading away unadored and unsung,
Looking at me, she blushed
I stood love stung, adoring her,
Borrowed a steam bearing a bud
Planted her proudly in my garden,
Ever day, day after day,
I watched my rose break out of its
chrysalis,
Groomed it with devout care,
Nurturing it with fertilizer,
Admiring it with every moment,
Watching it grown and come into
full bloom,
Tall and elegant till it grew
And looked down on me! .rose.

I Am Dying
I am the Earth.
Mother of them all.
I'm getting hotter and hotter each
day,
I just want to lay and rest.
Let me rest,
I'm dying.
My babies are dying,
The ice is melting.
The sun is burning my skin,
My babies,
My life
You cruel people,
You choke me to death.
Your chemicals are killing
What I have tried to raise.
How is life supposed to carry on...
If my people destroy what
Makes us live
And breathe?
My poor trees!
Just think and feel how they feel.
Why are you putting rubbish on my skin?
STOP...
OH STOP it now!
You're giving me disease,
And it's burning to my core.
Get in my mind, come on,
Look deep down and find
My heart is slowly stopping.
You're killing me,
You murderer...
