Shame on Indian media by _dreamprince_ 2015/03/29 14:20
Shame on Indian Media &
Archbishop : All accused in Nun
gang-rape are Bangladeshi
nationals: CID
The CID in West Bengal which is
probing the case says that all the
accused were Bangladeshi
nationals. Some had slipped in
for this operation while others
had infiltrated long back.
Investigations being conducted
into the nun rape case show that
the entire operation was planned
by a person called Milan Bhai a
Bangladeshi national along with
one person in India. They hired
six persons for the job including
the two arrested accused, Salim
Mohammad and Sarkar.
Sarkar had slipped into West
Bengal’s 24 North Paraganas in
the year 2002. He changed his
name to Sarkar on entering
India. He used to undertake
contractual works relating to
painting jobs and in this incident
he was the one who had
provided shelter to all the
accused both when they had
come in and also just before they
left the country.
Salim on the other hand is a
wanted criminal in Bangladesh.
He has to his name several
crimes ranging from murder to
dacoity. He was hired by Milan in
Bangladesh for this operation CID
officials informed.
During the course of the
investigation the CID has found
that they had two motives. One
person in India whose name is
not being revealed as the CID is
on the verge of nabbing him had
got in touch with Milan Bhai for
this operation.
The idea was to ensure that
there is no trail in India and they
expected that if Bangladeshis are
hired then the chances of them
being nabbed and the modus
operandi cracked was very less.
The accused said that they had
no intention of carrying out the
robbery. They had only
intimidated the nun and wanted
to pressurize the convent. The
CID says that the real intention
was two fold-one to embarrass
the government in the wake of
several allegations that the ghar
wapsi programme was dividing
society and the other was to
ensure that the convent sold the
land at a throw away price.
There is a portion of land near
the convent which would ideally
fetch up to at least Rs 5 crore.
However these persons wanted
to buy it out for Rs 1 crore and
the convent was not willing to
part with it. This incident was
also an attempt to threaten them,
the CID has also found.
The CID says that the two
arrested persons are giving out a
lot of information which may
lead them up to the rest of the
accused persons. We need to nab
five more who were part of the
crime, the officer said.

I think parts of India yes. honour killings and bride burning especially. India is ranked one of the worst countries to be a women because of it. And because rape is not being taken serious in India. Much like Pakistan and Bangladesh. Its sad actually, because women were very important once in India... They were allowed to marry when they wanted and who they wanted, now you are dealing with a child marriage problem... the education of women in rural areas are also troubling. Take knowledge away from a woman and she's bound to be a slave to her husband and raise daughters to be slaves when they get married at 13... am I wrong?

god your still in the past .. I know rape cases are more but you cant say that there is no rape case in your country and daughteres are treated well .. women are now getting education in the rural areas and abt women empowerment we jst had a lady president and there 4 states in which there is lady chief minister the biggest party in india is ruled by a lady first verify your facts and then talk

Doesn't really matter who raped the nun... One must first understand that said nun is a nun because she abstains from sex! And understand the violation. Rape is very bad, but raping someone who's mission in life is not to have sex is somehow worse... She wasn't just violated sexually, she was violated on a spiritual level too.

its not the past. A female president means nothing if she can't pass laws and laws mean nothing if they are not being enforced... Honour killings and bride burning isn't in the past, it happens everyday. Your ignorance is dangerous, because you can only help change India when you realize there is a problem... if you have sex with someone under 16 in South Africa you will be charged with statutory rape if a parent lays charges, regardless of consent. If you have sex with someone under 12 the state will charge you with rape regardless of consent. Meaning, as shxt as our government is at times, our laws are being enforced to prevent sex with children. marital rape is illegal too... According to our law, a husband can rape his wife. So again, we have laws that are being enforced. While our rape statistic are almost as bad as yours, there are laws in place and they are being enforced.. Child marriage might be illegal in India. Bride burning might be illegal... But its not being implemented good or fast enough. in 2012 over 8000 women died because of dowry issues. I know of one Islamic organization fighting the dowry system, so yes, people are trying. the education of girls in rural areas is an awesome step , but do the parents allow their daughters to go to school? or must they work at home? I said parts of India, meaning not your government or all of India. I know your government is trying, like minors being sentenced as adults in rape cases. But India is still stuck And moving very slowly.

ofcourse its unfair. And obviously not all of India should be judged. there is a new generation of indians who want change, like yourself. But you must first acknowledge what needs to change. my country is also in a bit of a pickle, but we have a new group of south africans who can see the issues and work on them.

the same law is in india you cant have sex with a women without marrying her it is a law here .. if you have sex with a girl under the age of 18 yrs then yout charged for rape .. rape cases arent ingnored .. and dowry is illegal in india if found guily the person Is sentenced for jail for 3 to 5yrs ... also the 8000 cases your talking abt half of the cases are fake which parents sue becauz they want revenge ... india has strict law against all these ... three rapes cases criminals have been senteced to death .. and yes ppl send their daughters for education it is must that the girl should be educated indian goverment has various schemes running like free railway travelling , free education , scholarship etc for girls

I don't know how to explain what I mean.... I shall try again. after the delhi rape, India changed its rape laws. Thats good. The government is trying to keep women safe and bring those who harm them to justice... that's good. But has the new laws reached rural India? Can a 13 years old go to a police station in rural India and say she doesn't want to get married? Will they help her? Will her parents accept her choice? I don't think so. A few days a ago a 13 year old girl was found in a well... They suspect it was a honour killing. I'm not saying India as a whole is like this. I'm saying India will struggle to stop these practices in rural India where its tradition. Rural India might aswell be a different country compared to Mumbai.... Yes, south africa is all messed up to. But we don't practice child marriage, because you'd be locked up for being a pedophile. And the community will wait outside the court to attack said pedophile. honour killings is unheard off because we do not practice it. You cannot compare india to south africa even if our crime is just as bad. opium is indeed right, when i said area I meant from India, through Punjab past Pakistan straight through all the way to Afghanistan, then when we done with that area make a stop at Yemen, continue to Mali and stay a day or two in Congo!! Anyway... Perhaps I have it all wrong. And I'm way to peaceed off in general... Ps. You have a section in your law dedicated to acid attacks. that could be just for incase, or it could be because acid attacks are that common. I'm done bashing india. I'll look for something else. Didn't mean to offend you Rahul. Honestly.

yes a 13 year old can go to a police stn and abt child marriages I m nt in favor of them but it was a part of our culture and religion it can cannot change in jst 50 to 40 odd years . We have a law against child marriage , it is jst 1 or 2 cases which these ppl take so high... I shall try 2 explain you wht is indian culture ... and yes there are different sets of law for different things which differ in every region .. thats why we have a parliament /smiley
