Ragnorak: Catholicism is one of several branches of Christianity, each with some distinct characteristics, traditions and doctrines. In the years and decades after Christ's death and resurrection, the message of Jesus was spread across the world by His disciples and other believers. Because these were different people with different ideas in distant locations, it was inevitable that some inconsistencies were going to emerge (remember this was before Twitter was invented).
Each branch of each religion contains doctrines that, to a neutral mind, are clearly man's wilful interpretation of divine guidance rather than actually being divine, and these are usually also where the differences lay. Indeed, there has been much persecution and bloodshed over such divergence under the same umbrella faith, for example in England where Catholics and Protestants took it in turns the be the victims and aggressors in the early modern period. Which is something Jesus would have been against, as His was a message of peace and tolerance.
Therefore, it is wise to focus on what unites us rather than what divides. For the record, I'm a Catholic. I see the pope as more of a political figure than a spiritual one, and don't think anyone on earth has the authority to speak for God. I don't really care about most doctrines and think all that matters is the core message of the Son of God and the principle of forgiveness He embodies. I also think people should be free to practice their faith in the way they know or are familiar with, if it doesn't do anyone else harm.
I against is the expression "they must practise their own faith as it not harm any" Remember, it says donot say or add things to what i haven't have told you or written.
