I remember my main phone back in 2006 was the Nokia 6630, which was one of the first phones to use 3G and a popular smartphone of its day. It was a novelty back then being able to take pictures and upload them with a phone, and it had some great apps available including an auto call recorder for playing back those precious conversations in perfect quality

And it could save an untold amount of texts as well. Even today this phone still works perfectly as I've looked after it and replaced the keypad, cover and battery more than once. Smartphones have evolved since then making it even easier to keep in touch through messaging, but it's worth remembering what phones are really great for and that's speaking
