self control

Self control mean to control oneself even when
the tides are high i.e. even when the situation or
circumstances are rather testing. Self control
requires mental fortitude or strength of character;
it shows how tough you are inside. People who
have self control perform better even when the
chips are down. Quite often in the times of
adversities we give in and ultimately our cause is
lost, however if we develop a certain level of self
control in ourselves we might as well end up on
the brighter side of things .
The level of self control is also tested under
provocative circumstances, when someone or the
other is hell bent on breaking our composure.
Someone who has the ability to exhibit complete
self control is referred to as a stoic. Sir Charles
Kingsley rightly remarked Being forced to work,
and forced to do your best, will breed in you
temperance and self-control, diligence and
strength of will, cheerfulness and content, and a
hundred virtues which the idle will never know.
