As voting comes to a close today, exit pollsresults are hinting at BJP trouncing other political parties to form India’s next government. All polls unanimously predict the end of the Congress-led UPA’s 10-year rule in India. AAP comes a cropper.
After the longest elections in the history of the country came to an end, the results are eagerly awaited. But before the results come out on the 16th of May, exit poll figures will give us an idea as to who might be in a position to form the government at the Centre. According to figures gathhered by Aajtak, NDA could get 272 to 283 seats while UPA might get 110 to 120 seats in this Lok Sabha polls. India TV-C voter gives NDA 289 seats and Congress 101 seats overall. If so, this would be the ruling party's worst ever result. According to India Today/CICERO survey, NDA will get 261-283 seats, UPA will get 110-120 seats and others will get 150-162 seats.
The survey also suggests that the BJP will get six seats in Delhi. ABP-Nielsen suggests BJP will get 46 seats in Uttar Pradesh, Congress 08, Samajwadi Party 12 and BSP 13 seats. In Bihar BJP and allies are expected to get 28 seats, Congress and allies could get 10 seats and JD(U) might get 2 seats, as per IndiaTV-C voter survey. It also predicts that Mamata Banerjee's Trinamool Congress will win 27 seats out of the 42 seats from West Bengal. TimesNow-ORG predicts Trinamool likely to get 20 seats (1 seat more than 2009 figure), Left Front to get 15 (6 seats more than that in 2009), Congress to get 3 and BJP 2 (4% vote share more than that in 2009).
Times Now-ORG conducted its survey that suggested that AAP failed to make any impact in Karnataka. BJP keeps its hold on Karnataka as of the 28 seats, BJP to win 18 seats, Congress to win 9 and JDS to win 1 seat. In Tamil Nadu, AIADMK gets 31 seats and Congress gets 1 while DMK manages mere 7 seats out of 39. According to Times Now, Kerala, till now, is the only state with Congress sweep.

Congress and allies get 16 seats, IUML and Left get 2 seats each in Kerala. In Maharashtra, Cong and allies get 21 seats while BJP and allies get 27 seats out of 48 total seats. Times Now gives 52 seats to BJP in UP with the BJP sweeping the North. The same survey suggests that in Telangana, BJP-TDP will get 2 seats, Congress 3 to 5, TRS 8-10 seats and Left 2 seats. CNN-IBN/CSDS survey suggests Telangana TRS will win 10 seats, Congress 04 seats and BJP to win 03 seats.
With the Exit Poll results coming in, Sensex hit a new record high, Nifty breached 7,000 mark and the rupee rallied to its strongest levels in 10 months
