We all love animals, specially those little cute cats. And it is obvious that when we find such cute creatures crying in pain, that melts our heart.
We all come across such injured animals once or more in our life. Some of us like to ignore them and move ahead while there are many who really like to help them and treating them.
But before goin to help, it is our own safety that lies first. After all, it is discouraging and painful to be scratched or bitten by a frightened cat you are trying to assist.
So, here this topic is giving some tips on how to approach an injured cat whom you want to help:
First, try to approach the cat but while approaching try to make a comforting tone of voice to make it feel that you are friendly and not a danger.
Second, try to move closer. Go near to it but make sure you are not touching it.
Third, get near to it and sit down there. Keep making a comforting sound but at the same time observe its eyes and body language. If it has its eyes wide and ear back and making a growling like sound, do not dare to stand there long.
But in case it is shivering,[img=http://2wapworld.com/get105376/a8bb5e4ef.jpg] attempt to reassure it by petting it, first behind the head. If this is permitted, pet the rest of the head and the neck. [img=http://2wapworld.com/get105375/4e8b0bc61.jpg] Scratching the ears and stroking under the chin is often comforting.
And if it allows you to move your hand around, you can move ahead helping that cat. Otherwise calling proper experts who can do the job is advised, and do not try to help it if it is not willing to allow you.
