Getting a glimpse of word from The Word Of Truth(BIBLE) It says train up a child in the way that he should grow and when he is old he will not depart from it.
From my own perspective parent are the owner of the king's share in this issue.
When a child is trained in the part of humility,honest,non violences behaviour among others, no matter how strong the peer influence might be he wouldnt be carried away. Alot of child now adays often blame their waywardness and violent behaviour on their parents but i will say NO.
I cant imagine a child who knows that his dad or mum will never allow him to watch violent films who will still go ahead and watch it even at the expense of his friends, it is not possible because there will be the fear of the Lord which his parents as instill in him and that alone is enough for he/she to run far away from violent films.
Also, most parent have put the I dont care attitude towards their children often times when they care less about who and what is my child during at school, the child gets the free hand and thereby follow instructions by his friends to indulge in one or two violent act.
Finally, an adage says the son that the snake born will always resemble a snake, most parents lived and are still living the violent way of life and when their children sees this they take after them and turn into menace for the society.
The only way out as earlier said to remove violence from our streets,houses and communities is TRAIN YOUR CHILD IN THE WAY THAT HE SHOULD GROW AND WHEN HE IS OLD HE WILL NOT DEPART FROM IT.
