pertussis - Commonly called as 'whoomp caugh'... it is highly contagious bacterial desease caused by 'Bordetella pertussis' bacteria... In some countries it also called as '100 days of caugh or caugh of 100 days.... symptoms are usually mild and develop into severe caughing pits, 'the whoomp' sound while caughing... Prevention by 'Vaccination' and by feeding 'anti-biotics'.. :)

it is a disease which can affect below 12 year old children.... it affected nearly 800 lakh childrens... Vaccination is no nee when the child is normal stage instead of 6 weak caugh stage....
