having to look at u as a friend
yet wanting u to be so much more
it's as simple
as opening a not so distant door
n telling 'i love u'
but i can't
i'm afraid
bcoz u don't see me in that way
the last thing i want

as i painful chapter of my life ended
u gave me hope

it's difficult to be rational
when emotions concern
why must love be unconditional?
