Torrent to IDM ? by

My Lan is giving double the speeds on IDM which is 300 kbps on a slow plan of 256 kbps whereas on torrent it is giving me just 40 kbps. Does anyone know how to convert a torrent to a Direct download link?

1 KB = 8 Kb
Torrent client's Dl speed is in KBps, whereas IDM (the one I use) has Kbps. 128 KBps on torrents = 1 Mbps. So 256/8 gets ya around 32 KBps.
About your query, yep try using Seedboxes, you gotta pay for them though

Speed is limited. I have already tried that on all p2p clients.Quote:
Eeprom: some sites used to download the torrents and reshare them via direct download ,its the only way youll acheive it (use google)otherwise pick well seeded torrents

Yes on torrent the max I get is 60 kbps and that during the night time whereas with IDM i get 300 kbps Quote:

I use Ethernet connection of LAN and easily get 40 kbps without IDM so with IDM I get speeds upto 350 kbps depending on the file server if it allows to split.Quote:
outlaw: How do you guys get more than 30 kb/s DL speed on a 256kbps connection? On my 512, I can never get more than 60 kb/s. In my experience, all IDM does is let me get the most out of my internet connection, i.e. it'll give me 60-65 kb/s speed on average, which is the maximum possible speed on a 512 connection. I've heard people claim they get double speeds on IDM, but I'm thinking maybe they're mistaken? Because of the multiple connections thingy, DL speed shown in IDM keeps changing very quickly. Like one second it's 100 kb/s and the next instant it'll be 20 kb/s. But the overall speed boost in my opinion is no more than 10-20%. Right? Or an I missing out on some sorcery?

Depends on the server if it allows files to get paused or split and also importantly peering speed is needed. I play youtube at 720 HD without pausing Quote:
outlaw: What's the reason behind this ten-fold increase in speed?
EpIcInCoGnItO 2013/01/07 04:15
Thats why I didnt go woth BSNL. Use your cable operators connection. That will be faster. On youtube, the connection is peered. As for torrents, there is my ISP group on facebook where is just need to post the link and they peer it and upload it on there site. So I get 260-300 kbps. Surfing speed is excellent too. Unlimited usage 440 per month.Quote:
outlaw: But howww!? *pulls hair* you said you have a 256. I'd really like to know the youtube trick. I have to wait for the end of the month for BSNL's 1 mbps for 6gb data thing before i can enjoy seamless youtube playback. And i use that 6gb in two days

Yes mostly lan is given by Cable operators. -hahaha- you didnt know this? try contacting your cable wala. let me show you rates.Quote:
outlaw: Cable operator's connection?

EpIcInCoGnItO 2013/01/08 16:45

outlaw: You're not trying to make me look stupid in front of my cable wala, are you?
