There once was an ordinary girl and God saw right into her heart.
He knew exactly what she wanted because He picked her dreams apart.
In doing so he was surprised to see what she held so dear.
The hopes and dreams she kept locked away seemed so very clear.
She didn`t want what most people dream of, no need for money or fame.
What she wanted most in life was to love and take someone`s last name.
The more God studied, the more He saw just who she had in mind.
She didn`t want a city boy, she wanted a different kind.
He would be protected from hours in the sun with a Stetson on his head.
He wouldn`t wear Nikes or Jordans, but wear old Justin Boots instead.
He`d respect her as a woman but joke around like a long lost friend.
They`d look towards the future together and never see an end.
God knew when He brought them together that they were one of a kind.
Acting on their feelings alone proved that love really is blind.
The girl couldn`t believe that she had this wonderful man in her life.
Even though the thought scared her, she dreamed of becoming his wife.
Things went great for a while but it took an unexpected turn.
They walked away from each other with so much about themselves to learn.
How could a love so pure and strong fizzle and fade away?
No matter how much begging and pleading, she couldn`t make him stay.
Anger got the best of them and they said things they both regret.
Although they apologized soon after, neither could forget.
He moved to a different state and swore he`d stay away.
She put her trust in God and took things day by day.
Weeks went by without a word and one day out of the blue,
She received a message from him saying, "I miss you and still love you."
She saw it as a second chance and jumped at it without a second thought.
Love was a game they gambled with and they both happened to get caught.
They tried to work it out again but things just weren`t the same.
Even though the rules were similar it was an entirely different game.
They parted ways once again with pieces of broken heart on the floor.
She knew it was over this time as he walked out the door.
A year went by and in that time they couldn`t make it work.
Her friends kept trying to tell her, "Why don`t you leave that jerk?"
Sometimes life throws you curve balls but you have to fight and never back down.
Enjoy life with a sincere smile and never with a frown.
She believes they`ll be together, lovers and best friends once again.
This time they`ll get it right and their love story will have no end
