The idea is to use powerful computing to detect and kill mosquitoes and prevent malaria. The way it works is actually really cool. It first uses a non lethal laser to detect that there is an insect. Then it detects what kind of insect it is. It can even tell whether it's a male or female mosquito. Since only female mosquitos bite, they're the only ones that need to be killed, because the laser also means to make the least impact to the environment. Once it detects a female mosquito, it makes sure there is nothing between the laser and it, and fires the deadly ray. It either can burn its wings or kill it outright.
