I remember the time
not long ago
When we laughed and
shared it all
We were the very best
of friends
Or at least that’s what
I thought.
I often wonder why
friendships end
What happens to sever
that tie
How can someone once
so close
Just wave you off with
a good bye
I must have been
lacking
I must have been
wrong
I wasn’t the friend to
you
That you were to me all
along.
I thought I was loyal
I know I was true
But something went
wrong
Now there’s nothing to
do
A friendship lost
Is a very sad thing
The angels weep
instead of sing.

Wow, what a heartfelt poem. Sometimes in life we consider people our friend but as time goes by we realise that they weren't a friend to begin with. As such, they leave willingly and all we can do is let them go. Never try too hard to make it work because if it is a true friendship then things will work out.
Sometimes ties are severed for reasons beyond our understanding, what used to be everything to us now means nothing. Sad but true, some 'friendship' get lost along the way in our journey of life. We have to make peace with it; learn, live and grow from these experiences. And hey, overtime, new and stronger relations are built with people who are actually worth it. If your friendship got lost, smile and say 'thank you' for teaching me a great lesson in life.

I feel you... A close friend just stopped talking to me... I know the reason for it, but I thought she'd respect our friendship more than the feelings we had for each other...
