RIP Symbian, its Nokia Belle now by LoneLy_heArt 2011/12/31 03:27
It is the end of an era or more accurately close to the end. Nokia has dropped the Symbian branding from its own smartphone OS and is now calling it Nokia Belle – no more Symbian S60 versions, just Nokia and the version name. This move probably comes after Nokia sold and outsourced Symbian to Accenture, which would mean it does not own the Symbian trademark anymore. Nokia also announced it will release the Belle update for the
Nokia N8, E7, E6, X7, C6-01, C7, and Oro starting from February 2012. However, new units of the Nokia N8 that will be shipped from its manufacturing facilities now will come with Belle on them.

I am very disappointed by nokia's downgrade on operating systems. They are using s40 in almost every phone now with less size of processor. Most phones hang.
