*what d0es God pr0mise us* by jaQui 2011/12/17 05:47

What does God
promise us?

Eternal Life -
The Kingdom of
God -
The New
Creation
Eternal life is
one of God's
promises to the
faithful, to
those who know
and love God
and persevere in
overcoming.
There are many
verses about
the promise of
eternal life.
John 3:16 and
Romans 6:23 are
often quoted:

jaQui 2011/12/17 06:13

For God so loved
the world, that
he gave his only
begotten Son, that
whosoever believeth
in him should not
perish, but have
everlasting life.
For the wages of
sin is death;
but the gift of God is
eternal life through
Jesus Christ our Lord.

Acts 2:29 and 34).
The Old Testament faithful will remain
in their graves until
"the coming of
the Lord."
Then they will be
resurrected, along
with the faithful
followers of Jesus.

2. The faithful who "
are alive and remain"at
"the coming of the Lord" will join
the resurrected dead
as they "meet the
Lord in the air."

3. Note that nothing
was said about
going to heaven. It
was only stated that the faithful would "meet the Lord in the
air" and would"ever be
with the Lord."

Yes, there are verses
such as Matthew5:12 which state "Rejoice, and be exceeding
glad: for great is
your reward in
heaven."
But it is a mistake
to conclude that
anyone will go to
heaven to get their
reward.

jaQui 2011/12/17 07:32
It is the will of
God for the
faithful to
receive eternal
life. Those in the
first
resurrection
receive eternal
life as spirit
beings. They will
never be mortal
again and can
not possibly die
again. A "second
death" can
happen to those
who are
resurrected as
mortals at the
later
resurrection,
after the 1000
years. If they
are not judged
worthy to
receive eternal
life, they will die
again, a second
time, without
further hope of
resurrection and
life (Revelation
21:8).
Those
who suffer the
second death
are gone
forever,
destroyed,
permanently
non-existent.
Those who
teach that God
punishes the
wicked with
continuous
eternal torment
in some sort of
hellfire are in
error, and are
teaching a
flagrant lie
about the
nature of God.
To eternally
punish anyone
would be both
pointless and
pathetically
sadistic. God will
give everyone a
fair chance to
attain salvation
and eternal life.
Those who do
not meet God's
expectations
will be
destroyed
forever.

All wat u said is true, but with this i do not agree.the bible indicates that only 144,000 anointed ones will resurrect as spirit creatures. They are the only ones who will go to heaven because they are worthy.Thy are called the little flock."the great crowd" will be resurrected as perfect humans and these will take posession of the earth.that is: "the rightious themselves will posses the earth and they will live forever on it"

Thank u very much for your knowledge of the Bible.keep on searcing /smiley

That's what you said....

,,The “Jehovah’s Witnesses” have almost no
concept of the distinction between the literal
and the figurative language in the Bible. And
so, they literalize the number 144,000 in these
two contexts, and ridiculously argue that only
144,000 people will gain heaven.'' is this true??

revelation clearly says that the 144 000 are from the tribes of Israel. They will be converted to Christianity ( ethnic jews will become christians) and they will in turn convert the great magnitude it speaks of later during the tribulation period... So a great magnitude will go to heaven aside from those Raptured.
All what i said is true. For example, quate me well "will be resurrected as spirit creatures".Xtians believe that when they die, they are ressurrected in spirit to heavenly life.Look at Rev. 7:3 "...the slaves of our God..."
4 "And i heard the number of those who were sealed, 144000, sealed out of every tribe of the sons of israel" That does not mean that all xtians will be sealed. These are the ones who at no time fornicated, mention any sort of bad u know. They hv remained faithfull to God up to death

They are jews... Who will become Christian and their purpose will be to convert non Christians to Christianity... a great maltitude. maybe millions..... a spirit doesn't die, it can't be resurrected.

Rango 2015/01/30 18:09
Rem. there are two categories of people mentioned in Rev. 7
Think about the great crowd who dressed in white.Whome could this crowd consist of if all christians are part of the 144000?Do u know what they said about them? The Bible says they will hunger no more.Doesn't that mean there will be plenty of food? if yes, wr will the food be grown, is there soil in heaven? There is no physical body in heaven but only spirits.144000 will rule as kings and priests in heaven over the earth

Yes, a spirit doesn't die and can not be resurrected.this things are recorded in revelation and may be u didn't understand me.what i meant is that; 144000 will be Ressurrected in spirit (that is after dying as humans) in heaven and will rule as kings and priests from heaven over the people who will be ressurecte as perfect humans on earth. They are corulers with Jesus christ in God's kingdom. An example 1 Peter 3:18 "...died once for all time...He was put to death in the flesh but made alive in the spirit"

ALL Christians are sealed!!!

2 Corinthians 1:20-22
For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so
through him the “Amen” is spoken by us to
the glory of God. Now it is God who makes both us and you stand firm in Christ.
He anointed us, set his seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a
deposit, guaranteeing what is to come.

Ephesians 1:13
And you also were included in Christ when
you heard the message of truth, the gospel of
your salvation. When you believed, you were
marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy
Spirit.

Rango 2015/01/30 18:34
Perhaps you may be convinced that all christians are going to heaven, but wr could these things be, in heaven or on earth?
"They will build houses and live in them, and they will plant vineyards and eat their fruitage. They will not build for someone else to inhabit, nor will they pland for others to eat.Tor the days of my people will be like the days of a tree, and the work of my chosen ones will enjoy to the full"
Isaiah 65:21,22

o.O what?
The 144 000 will convert the great magnitude in white robes. On earth.... during tribulation.

Then one of the elders asked me, “These in white robes—who are they, and where
did they come from?” I answered, “Sir, you know.” And he said, “These are they who have
come out of the great tribulation; they have
washed their robes and made them white in
the blood of the Lamb.

After tribulation - judgement - heaven.

their descendants will inherit the land.

Ezekiel 36:19-24
For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land.

Ezekiel 36:25-28,
And ye shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; and ye shall be my
people, and I will be your God.”
