(hello) friends its 1st time for HOCKEY here on 2wap. I.e -wsh- World Series Hockey, will be played from the 17th of December 2011 to the 22nd of January2012.

World Series Hockey will consist of 8 teams representing 8 cities / states of India. The Event will be played in Two Phases over 5 weeks and consist of a total of 61 matches

phase 1: League Phase

>Each World Series Hockey Team will play the other twice; home and away

> Each Team will thus play 14 matches; 7 Home and 7 Away.

> The League Phase will consist of 56 matches and will be played from the 17th of December to the 13th of January

phase 2: Playoffs

>The 4 Teams with the best record after the League Phase will qualify for the Playoffs,

>Each of the Qualified Teams will be given a Seed based on their position after the completion of the League Phase. For example; the Team with the best record after the League Phase will be given the No. 1 Seed and the Team with the third best record after the League Phase will be given the No. 3 Seed

Playoffs - Semis:

>In the Semis, the No.1 Seed will play the No. 4 Seed, and the No. 2 Seed will play the No. 3 Seed

> Each of these matches will be a one match knockout and will be played at the Home of the Higher Seed i.e. the team which earns a higher seed in the League Phase will benefit from getting to play a Home match,

> Thus Seed 1 and Seed 2 will each host their respective Semi

> The Semis will be scheduled for the 15th of January (i e. Sunday)

> The winners of each Playoff Semis qualifies for the Finals

playoffs Finals:

> The Finals will be played between the winners of each of the Semis,

> The Finals will be a best of 3 matches and is scheduled to be played on the 18th, 21st and 22nd of January

> 2 of the 3 matches will be played at the Home venue of the Team with the higher seed while one match will be played at the venue of the Team with the lower seed.

> The team which wins the most matches in the Final will be declared the Champions.

Its Very simple,bidding procedure is same as like other events(cricket,soccer), Bid for a team,buy a team, be the OWNER of the team -hehe-

RULES & REGULATIONS:

* for every match your team wins :100+s

* you can only be owner of 1 team and can bid for only 1 team.

* Rules of sports forum apply here and if we find anyone guilty of using multinicks all your profits will be confiscated.

* Teams entering Semis: 750+s
*Runner Up- 2000+s
* Winner- 2500+s

bidding will be started on 13th Dec & closed on 15th dec[8 teamS will be put on auction] !!
