Dear 2wap friends!
I forgot my Nokia 5130 xpress music security code.
Now i need to format the mobile as my softwares are not working.
But it asks for security code.
I dnt remember it.
Cn u help me to format it.
If yes how?
Hm what about flashing?
I heard about flashing but i dnt knw how to do it?
If any one knw please do post and say repuired softwares to download.

I'm not sure about that model of phone.. But best what works on symbian phones, u can try it..
Switch off ur phone. Press the keys star (*) , 3 and green button and then while pressing all these 3 buttons together, restart ur phone.. Dont leave these buttons unless the phone has fully restarted ok.

If the phone has had a firmware upgrade then the default security code of 12345 applies. If this does not work then the code has been manualy changed or the phone is faulty.

Nokia Series 40, 60 and 80 Reset Codes Thread
Below are some reset codes for various Series 40, 60 and the new Series 80 Communicator series (Nokia 9300/9500):
Full Reset: (clears everything off the phone memory!! Be sure to back up your contacts!!): *#7370#, 12345 and then Yes.
Soft Reset: *#7780#, 12345 and then Yes. (Also works on Nokia S40 phones as a full reset)

This deletes the Email, GPRS, MMS settings that cannot be erased via phone options. (Newer Series 40 phones only i.e. 6230(b))
Nokia 9300 (not confirmed) and Nokia 9500 (based on link below):
1. Turn off phone and take out battery
2. Insert battery, and while it boots up press and hold Ctrl + Shift + F
3. After a few seconds you will be asked if you want to format or cancel

12345 is the default code. Or try a hard reset. I belive you hold menu, green, the volume down and power up the phone.

If it isn't a new phone the mastercode app may generate the mastercode for you via imei but im suspect its pretty new so goto nokia care they will reset it if you haven't stolen it
or try sparkos hard formatt method its not supposed to work but when I've formatt "SOME" ov mine for other reasons my personal set sec lockcode nolonger worked it had set back to what jacki said the default 12345

Well the security code may be 0000 4 zeros or 1111 untill u didn't changed.lol. Try for flashing. Its just they wil change operating system in ur phone.but all data saved wil be lost
