Hey, folks. This topic is not a joke. I'd like someone answering it who knows about animal behaviour, maybe Lake - coz he knows a lot about animals. ... ... My hamster is getting weird. Usually, I put my flat hand in the cage, and the hamster climbs on it, to be lifted out of the cage. But recently, she looked at my hand, then opened her mouth, and slowly, deliberately sank her teeth into my thumb. It wasn't frightened or aggressive, it was just a strange slow motion thing, and for no apparent reason. I didn't even draw my hand back until I noticed I was leaking blood. Later I tried the usual procedure again, and she wanted to bite another time before I could finally persuade her to simply step on the hand without biting. Next day, all went back to normal, but she seems generally more nervous than before. Why, I wonder, does my until now perfectly lovely hamster act in that strange way, all of a sudden?
this one is very strange bro, pet hamsters dont really bite or turn on the owner, the only way these will actually react aggressive is if they feel fright, were anyone around her recentle? Cuz a bite what caused blood isnt a playful bite bro.
TheMouse: It has no contact but the one with me, noone else around. Maybe she does get frightened for some reason.
yes bro, its not in their nature to react that way all of a sudden, lol not even out of hunger, i guess it must have been a stress reaction. This may seem funny, but what if she needs a partner bro?
