Your view of 2012 by -DeMoN_OvErLoRd-2011/01/18 06:35 Yes another 2012 topic, I want to know all your views, Muslim, Christian, Hindu and all others how you see current events such as recent earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, Tsunamis, and flooding around the world, climate change etc.....Do you think its leading up to Dooms day in 2012? If so why do you believe that? And if it doesn't happen and you did believe it life goes on after 2012 just like other past Doomsday Prophecies what will you think? Wrong again? Or perhaps its all just not like yo were told in religious books, teachings and so on.....how will that be in your minds afterward? -think-

So then all floods, earthquakes etc etc has nothing to do with God then, its all just normal events, its nature correct?

yip its nature
jaQui2011/01/18 10:32 hurricanes, t0rnad0's, cycl0nes, volcan0es, earthquakes, floods, dr0ughts is nature... The inescapable fact is that the weather is always there, and what it is 2day, right n0w, it may n0t be t0m0rr0w or even in an h0ur's time... 4 interacting fact0rs determine our weather...
TheMouse2011/01/18 11:23 In the fourteenth, fifteenth, if I'm correct, century, a wave of particularly cold climate in Europe caused the failure of crops, and successively hunger and disease. Damp and lack of sunlight often made life difficult for people, other animals and vegetation. Such times, in human history, triggered (not entirely caused) the 30 year war in Europe and curious trends of human mass cruelty such as the widespread organised witch hunts. 'Sin', 'devil', and 'God's punishment' were the keywords used to explain the hardships which irregularities in climate brought. In the way a re-action to environmental impacts can occur in form of religious or para-religious superstition there can also be the prophetic version of the same; humans may then interprete anything they happen to come across -the ending of an ancient calendar, an article in some religiously inspired literature etc - as 'proof' of impending doom. This again leads to a form of witch hunting, whereby people become increasingly convinced their religion is THE religion etc. There have been times of much hotter or much colder climate (with all the natural corresponding effects) even in the tiny period of time during which humans have populated this planet. However, people mostly have, just like other animals, no concept of history, or of what could be learned from it. The belief that homo sapiens is the only mammal capable of observing, retaining and utilising history may be true in its principle, does, however, not have the practical impact on human life in the way it is taken for granted. Instead, humans refuse to make use of the mental capabilities they could have at their disposal, and prefer to be immersed in reiterated thinking about why 'God needs to punish them', or 'how they can repent their sins' - themes which, while they are entirely convinced of their indisputable reality according to their anthropocentrically limited thinking, are connected directly to what's going on around them (and because of them!).
jaQui2011/01/18 12:07 i agree with m0use, there are many MYTHES ab0ut nature
-DeMoN_OvErLoRd-2011/01/18 15:20 So then is it safe to say that all this talk is nonsense and these are normal natural events and have nothing to do with God whatsoever correct?
_dreamprince_2011/01/18 15:50 nothing wil be in 2012,just a min i link my topic or i paste here the same
Kalki: The Next Avatar of God
and the End of Kali-yuga
by Stephen Knapp
(An excerpt from The Vedic
Prophecies)
The age of Kali-yuga is said to
start from the year 3102 BC,
after the disappearance of
Lord
Krishna. Lord Caitanya
appeared
500 years ago, at which time
the
Golden Age within Kali-yuga is
supposed to start and last
another 10,000 years. As the
Golden Age within of Kali-yuga
comes to a close, the lower
modes of material nature will
become so strong that people
will lose interest in spiritual
topics. It is said that everyone
will become godless. Whatever
devotees, bhaktas, and sages
are left on the planet will be
so
unique in character and
peculiar
compared with the rest of
society that they will be
ridiculed
and hunted down in the cities
for
sport like animals. Thus, they
will
flee the cities to live
underground in caves or high
up
in the mountains, or simply
disengage from the earthly
plane
of existence. In this way, they
will
disappear from the face of
the
earth. That is the time when
the
dark influence of the age of
Kali-
yuga will become so dominant
that its full influence will
manifest without hindrance.
Finally, after 432,000 years
from
the beginning of the age of
Kali,
Lord Kalki will appear as the
twenty-second incarnation of
God. This is very similar to
what
some people call the second
coming of Christ.

i respect y0ur p0int of view...
TheMouse2011/01/19 02:36 I found out when the world ends anyway; the calendar on my phone finishes December 31st 9999, that's the end of the world because there won't be any calendar left. If I feel like it I'll buy a new phone just before then, but I won't promise.
Its not my point of view, i haven't given my point of view, Im the one asking the questions.
-DeMoN_OvErLoRd-2011/01/19 03:35 I guess some others that visit F&B dont wish to express their beliefs as they may well be wrong?
