strong point, the earthly body is not eternal for sure, maybe the soul is the thing that is meant as eternal life then. It couldnt be the human body, the body is not immortal. When people say eternal life it surely is not earthly life because i dont think life on earth is forever.

To be saved from spiritual death- returning to the presence of the god by faith. Repentance , and keeping god's commandments . Made possible through to the atonement of god.

whatever the conditions be, our earthly existance is limited, if we think of it none of us even know if we gonna live to see tomorrow, we are living in a world of conflict and sorrow. A human life span is less than 80 years, even if we have the belief in the day of judgement we will only know what is gonna happen to our own after death after we actually die, therefore let us all as human try to be good to each other while we are on earth, at the point of our last breath im sure we might be missing each other so let us enjoy life while we have the chance.

Jacki, you make me write in this forum again. Actually God promises eternal life. Not eternal life of the soul but of the body, not in heaven but on earth. Ezekiel 18:4 the soul is not immortal, it dies. And Psalms 37:29, the righteous will posses the earth and will live forever on it because God will remove death, mourning and pain. The former things will have passed. Rev 21:4

True, we are not living forever now. No one has even lived for 1000 years since creation:- All of this because Adam and eve sinned. God wanted them to live forever on earth including all their offsprings. Sin did not change his plans.

But everlasting life on earth is not for now but until all wickedness is done away with and then God makes all things new.
This is what the Bible says.
"For evil men will be done away with, but those hoping in Jehovah (rendered "The LORD" in other translations) will posses the earth. Just a little while longer, and the wicked will be no more; you will look at where they were and they will not be there. But the meek will posses the earth, and they will find exquisite delight in the abundance of peace...The righteous will posses the earth, and they will live forever on it." psalms 37:9-11, 25
"And he [God] will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away...Look I am making all things new."

You may say that this kind of life will be in heaven, but think for a moment:- Angels or spirits have not been suffering death or pain or tears. Therefore, those things not happening would not be "new" for them.
