I've heard many stories of pple being killed and havin their blood sucked, the phemenon of the vampire is fascinating. are they among us, the immortal, the undead. Are vampires just a myth?

I have done research on this, some turned out that vampires are myth and some turned out that their must have been a connection to reality regarding it, so based on my own thinking i would say that something in reality must have inspired the legends and myths, so who knows? Maybe they exist, because i have found cases explained regarding modern day vampires with people have good evidence to backup what they say.

If you know the story of Vlad the Impaler from the famous book Dracula it is loosely based on some of the things he did. Though the myth of the vampire goes back to people born with a genetic allergy to light. They are really where the vampire myths really started.

Nope, sorry to break this but they ain't real. I go with what Laketempest has said and agree that this particular myth has been inspired by something else.
PS: Maybe there are no such drastic things as blood suckers, but what about people who literaly drain and absorb life energy, often refered to as energy vampires. I personaly believe such people exist.

Im bursting out in laughs right now as I have remembered seeing this TV show called "Jerry Springers Show" about a vampire, google it and see on you tube xD

My friend,I'm from Romania and i can tell You that Most of the stories You heard about Vlad ÈšepeÈ™ are just stories...myths...
Read the history of my people and you'll understand.There are no dragons roaming free in Transilvania,no vampires.
Strange things happend from time to time,yes but the myth of the vampires is more related to the "strigoi" (the undead) than to Bran's book.
If You really want to study our occult history search for the "strigoi" and "pădurea baciului" on Google.
