1.turn of 3G, use GSM mode
2.when using music player,always go to standby mode.
3.disable screen saver. Your cellphone monitor (LCD) needs also to rest. If you put picture as your screen saver its still does act like monitor is running.
4.dont put moving wall papers. Yeah it adds the beauty of your phone but doesnt save energy.
5.turn off vibra mode
6.disable extra-tones 1.keypad tones 2.start up tones etc.
7.use quicker tones. It is possible to use shorter in length tunes to save battery.
8.use battery saving of your phone (if featured)

Always run your battery down once in awhile as it will hold a charge better and try not to charge your phone just for the sake of it, wait till its very low on power.
